Stila "In The Lights Palette" Review.

THIS PALETTE!! I bought this palette at Boots a few months ago and it has quickly become a favourite, I absolutely love it! It has a beautiful range of colours and finishes. I love the formulation of these eye-shadows, the pigmentation is perfection and they are really just a very gorgeous, high quality set of shadows.

I purchased these from Boots for £25.00 which I think is very reasonable for this quality, and considering the eye-liner that is included in this palette is already retailed at £14 I think this is an exceptional bargain.

The palette is called 'In the Lights' and is by Stila. Technically this is a high-end brand but I bought it in Boots (which is a drug store/pharmacy).

The Eye-Liner

'The smudge stick waterproof eye-liner' no less.
The eyeliner is originally retailed at £14 (or similar) and the one included in this palette is a full size, so I believe. It is waterproof and in the colour 'damsel' which is a dark brown. You can see it swatched below. It is incredibly creamy but very long wearing as it is waterproof. I really enjoyed the lasting power of this liner because my eyes are a pain in the backside for keeping eyeliner in the waterline, this stays for a very long time, however after a long day it sometimes transfers into the lash line which really isn't too much of a problem. It can be hard to get off, but not impossible I may add.

The Eye-Shadows

The shadows are extremely pigmented, there are 10 in total (including the famous and amazing 'kitten') -there are swatches below. Each colour is very creamy and there are a variety of colours. There are some shimmery neutrals, some matte basic colours like 'bare' and 'bliss' and 'sandstone', then there are the smoky colours like the black and blue ('ebony' and 'night sky'). There are 4 seriously shimmery colours, 4 matte colours and 2 less shimmery but none-the-less beautiful colours. All these shadows are beautifully blendable and produce an incredible colour pay-off.

Overall I love this palette, it is an essential piece in my makeup collection, it works very nicely as you can get a neutral everyday look as well as a smoky look. The colours have been chosen very well and I definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to buy a high quality, high end palette and doesn't want to spend an absolute fortune.
